TUESDAY MORNING MOMS’ BIBLE STUDY -  Mark your calendars for Tuesday, September 12th. We will be reading and discussing Colliding With Destiny-Finding Hope in the Legacy of Ruth by Sarah Jakes. FALL MEMBERSHIP CLASS - Have you ever wanted to know more about Park Hills Church and/or considered becoming a member? Plan to join us Sunday, September 10th through Sunday, October 1st from 6:00 - 8:30 pm. You will be encouraged by four evenings of inspiring ministry overview. Plus there will be cookies!! 50th CELEBRATION - In celebration of our church's 50th anniversary, Park Hills will be having a HUGE week of celebration. Through various events we will celebrate our 50 year history, provide chances for outreach, and spiritually refresh one another as a church family. You do not want to miss out! Please mark your calendars for the week of Oct 15-Oct 22. More details to come. 

 

SEVENTH HOUR COMING TO PARK HILLS CHURCH - Seventh Hour is coming HERE! Please join us Thursday, August 17th, for a night of worship. Doors open at 6:00 pm, concert begins at 6:30 pm. Seventh Hour is a well known band in the EFCA that performs at the Districts Youth Conference and Challenge, the National Youth Conference. We are hoping to engage our students and younger adults with this event, but all ages are welcome to join us! Tickets are $10 and are available online at www.parkhillsefc.org. HONDURAS SHORT TERM MISSION TRIP - Join us for an informational meeting Sunday, August 27th at 12:30 pm in the Music Room. We will give you a great idea of what the January 20—27 trip will be like and enjoy a lite lunch together. PERSPECTIVES CLASS - Perspectives, a world-missions class, will be offered at New Life Bible Church in Pecatonica from Tuesday, September 5th—Tuesday, December 12th. This amazing class will confront your understanding of missions and give a terrific vision for what a Christian “on mission” looks like! You are a missionary, whether you realize it or not, so this class intends to guide you in finding your place in what God is doing locally, nationally and globally. Awana Ministry Conference, Tuesday, August 22nd, 6:15PM to 9:00PM, Park Hills Chapel 

Come and spend an evening of inspiration and fellowship with other Awana leaders, and training sessions at our Freeport Awana weeknight mini-conference. (Park Hills Church will pay your registration fee). REGISTER at www.parkhillskids.com or at the Welcome Center.

Family Night Kickoff, Wednesday, August 30th, 6:30PM to 8:00PM, Park Hills Chapel

Plan on joining us Wednesday, August 30th, for a meal, worship, and time together to get geared up for the new year! This is the FIRST NIGHT of Family Night 2017/2018 for all volunteers, so we anticipate seeing you there.

Awana Ministry Conference, Saturday, September 23, 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM, Maywood Evangelical Free Church (Rockford)

Kick off a brand new club year effectively. Reach and serve the kids who'll come to your club this year!

The training team will be offering 4 workshop tracks to choose from: Inspiration & Vision, Awana Basics, Opportunities and Updates, and Club Focused Discussions.

ATTENTION PARENTS: AWANA starts NEXT month!

 We know that kids represent the greatest opportunity to make a long-term impact on our world for Christ and Awana establishes a welcoming, supportive environment where kids, from every background and cultural setting, learn how a personal relationship with Christ affects their everyday lives. We serve your children, ages 18-months through 6th grade, with a fun option for each age group each Wednesday night at Awana. Our first night of club is September 6th (6:30 to 8:00PM). *Parents and caregivers should plan on attending WITH their clubbers this first night*

YOUTH MINISTRIES starts NEXT month!

Frontline and CORE will begin on September 5th (Frontline) and September 6th (CORE). This school year the youth ministries are looking forward to studying the life of Jesus in an intentional way!

We welcome all students between 6th through 8th grade to attend our Family Night ministries. CORE meets in the Chapel area of the church where we will play games, sing songs, and study the Bible together.

Any high schooler between their freshman year through senior year is welcome to join us on Tuesday nights in the Chapel where we gather for fellowship and community through worship and in-depth Bible studies together.

Both Frontline and CORE meet from 6:30 - 8:00pm. Students may come as early as 6pm to spend time together before hand. Online registration is OPEN now!

CONNECT CARD - If you are new to our church, have an address or phone number change, have a prayer concern, or would like more information about Park Hills, please fill out one of the connect cards found in the chair pockets and drop it in the offering plate.

SUNDAY MORNINGS for KIDS - Parents and families, following are your children's Sunday morning options, designed to give your children a deeper experience in God's word, no matter which service they attend.

¨ 8:45 a.m. one combined nursery (ages birth through 3 years), staffed with volunteers who really love caring for your little ones.

¨ 8:45 a.m. one combined class (ages 3 years through 5th grade) that follows the same topic as the sermon to allow for families to have meaningful conversations throughout the week on what we are all learning.

¨ 10:30 a.m. two age-appropriate nursery options.  (Parents decide when it is suitable for their three-year-olds to move up to the next class).

¨ 10:30 a.m. three age-appropriate (ages 3 years through 5th grade) classes, that make use of the entire service time. You are able to drop off your children with their teachers in their classrooms starting at 10:15 a.m.

“SECOND HALF” is a ministry at Park Hills composed of retired and semi-retired individuals who have a heart for serving within our church family.  The members of Second Half recognize their God-given talents and this ministry is one of the ways they continue to use those gifts.  In the short time of our existence, multiple projects have been completed with more being planned.  These opportunities have been a blessing to those who have worked together.  Please contact the church office with any questions about this ministry.
